The past few weeks
are an odd blur
a hurricane
an election
and a lot of personal growth
Also
the golden light of fall
that evening wash of it
is disappearing
and I find myself adding
layers of hats and scarves and socks
I suppose steeling myself for
what I'm sure will be
a long winter
