I have been
making pitchers of tea
bringing rosemary, mint, chives, and basil indoors
reading poetry while I sip my coffee
even if it's a stolen moment
standing over a pot of simmering soup
We just bought some herbs and they never had the chance to live outside but they've seemed content on our windowsill and they enliven our home the way only plants can.
